Tessa Kennedy
1957-70 Tessa was born in Tanga, Tanzania. A childhood in Africa where drawing was an important pastime.
1970-79 She moved to London to complete education, including Environmental Science degree.
1984-89 She Moved to Cumbria, married a Market Gardener and raised three children. Worked as a Potter making garden pots.
1990 Decided to become a painter after years of “dabbling” in paint.
1990-96 Attended various classes and course in art and design (but not art college). Spent all free moments developing watercolour technique and drawing, gaining inspiration from walking and rock climbing in the Lake district fells.
A member of several local art societies. Tessa exhibits at various galleries in Cumbria and has held two solo exhibitions at Priests Mill, Caldbeck in 1994 and 1996.
