Diane Gainey

  After training as a Graphic Designer at the Hartlepool College of Art and Design, Diane worked for several years in design studios as a Commercial Artist. In 1984 she started her own freelance design business and simultaneously attempted to donate more time to pursue her love of watercolours.

The demand for her paintings resulted in a change of career direction - from Commercial Art to Fine Art-Working from a studio in her home in Cleveland, Diane has also become very involved with local art.Whilst exhibiting locally, more of her work can be seen in galleries throughout The Lake District - the source for most of her inspiration.

In 1990 she obtained her teaching qualification and now lectures part time in Art and Design and runs several watercolour courses.
