Eileen Clark is a Cumbrian born landscape painter. Specialising in oil paintings of the Lake District, she attempts to capture the quiet, timeless moment believing this to be the spirit of the Lakes. Eileen finds such moments in shimmering water and wide mountainous views, particularly in the early morning and evening. .jpg) Woodsmoke, the Langdales Water holds a special fascination for her and is the source that inspires her to paint.. Whether it’s the lakes or tarns or rivers, Eileen loves to be by the water which gives the Lake District its uniqueness. Eileen was introduced to the mountain walks of the area by her parents, who also bought her her first set of oil paints at the age of 14. “Walking could be exhausting, painting is fascinating”. .jpg) Rydal Water Her inspiration is drawn from a 19th / 20th century tradition, particularly seen in the works of the master of the winter landscape Joseph Farquharson and that of Alfred de Breanski junior, who specialised in Victorian gardens and Scottish mountain landscapes. .jpg) Peace, Buttermere She produces work to commission, but also has a range of unframed and high quality framed paintings available for purchase. .jpg) Burning Sky, Derwentwater .jpg) Eternal Summer, the Langdales
