Jim Binns
{mosimage}Jim was born in Middlesborough in 1942 and worked in the chemical industry in Billingham for over 20 years before becoming a full-time artist in 1988.
Jim lives with his wife and family in Cumbria from where he studies his favourite subject, the nearby fells and lakes, and their moods. Jim is a devotee of the transparent watercolours style which he uses to produce either loose, spontaneous impressions, or more finished work as appropriate.
