Geoff Driver Print

Geoff Driver was born in 1932 and has painted since boyhood.  Having studied Commercial Art at Manchester College of Art, he joined the Studio of a Manufacturing Chemist in Salford before becoming Studio Manager and Northern Area Salesman for a Bristol-based display and point-of-sale producer, selling display material to many major companies.


Joining the Co-operative Wholesale Society at New Century House in Manchester, he was appointed National Advertising Manager and worked there for many years before moving with his family to Carlisle to become Advertising and Display Manager for Cumbrian Co-operative Society.


Having always had a keen interest in walking and in painting Geoff was, upon his retirement, able to combine the two and many forays into the fells have led to the production of landscapes, which portray the Lakeland scenery in its many moods throughout the seasons.


Working in acrylic and oil, his landscapes sell to the many tourists and visitors to Cumbria and equally to the local people who visit exhibitions throughout the area.


Geoff is a member of Carlisle and Cumbria Artists – The Cumberland Brush and Palette Pals – Brampton Arts and Crafts Club and The Three Brushketeers.
