Anita Tomlinson `s paintings have been described as mystical and dreamy and evoke feelings of nostalgia for times past. Her memories of her own childhood...when children were free to wander and enjoy the buttercup fields, bluebell woods and other delights of the English countryside,... are all the inspiration for her watercolour paintings. Anita`s style of painting, which has evolved over 25 years, is loose and free and simply from her imagination, and though the initial idea for a painting may be triggered by a photograph, the final result may be completely unlike the original, depending on how the paint flows. That is the joy of watercolour painting. She now lives in Forton near Lancaster.
